On a scale of 0 to 10, how would you rate your trip: Antarctic Peninsula Classic?
10 out of 10
Tell us about the Camping
Big disappointment that weather prevented this experience from happening. What is the process for reimbursement for this.
Tell us about the Seaventure
The crew was thoughtful and attentive. During rough seas someone was always there to carry our plates of food to the table and grab our elbow to steady us.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
So many unusual experiences and incredible vistas with knowledgeable team. New species of birds to add to list.
Tell us about the expedition team
Favorite lecture was the one on icebergs. Suggestion: offer this earlier in the trip so we can use that knowledge when we are out and about seeing the icebergs with better understanding of the shapes and lines. Each of the team members brought interesting and fun personalities while they kept us safe and involved.
Were Swoop right to recommend Polar Latitudes?
Yes
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Be prepared for awesome - landscapes, critters, like minded people, staff and crew. Add an extra layer when on a zodiac expedition where you’re just riding.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt well prepared with the right kinds of clothes, though I did overpack, for the excursions and on board. I was not prepared for the jaw dropping scenery and the feeling I experienced when landing on the continent.
