What was your most memorable moment?
So many wonderful moments on the trip! Each landing, I would spend some time just quiet and alone, feeling the vastness of the area, just watching the penguins and disappearing into the scenery. That was my favorite part.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Awesome! The staff was very concerned for our safety and took all precautions. The drivers were knowledgeable about the area and each landing/ zodiac cruise was a blast.
Tell us about the expedition team
Bob was our expedition leader and he was terrific! He set the tone for the whole staff. All of them were amazing and so helpful.
Tell us about the Magellan Explorer
Excellent ship. I do wish that it had an elevator. My husband, and a couple of others on the ship could have used it. 2 flights of stairs to the dining room and 3 flights to the zodiacs. That is 14 flights of stairs a day! You try that with a bad back! Our cabin ( 502) was superb. The food was excellent with lots of variety.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Read a lot. Plan long in advance. remember , there is no bad weather, only bad gear.
