Overall, how was your trip?
Kayaking made it for me, doubled crewed with a lovely man (lent by his wife for kayaking)My biggest surprise was beaching on an ice berg and a snowball fight! The people were friendly to a lone traveller, and I was very lucky with my cabin share partner. Scenery and wildlife up close and personal magic.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
Oh yes and more
Would you visit again?
Maybe
How was the service that Swoop provided?
Glad I booked with expert on polar trips, I was more than pleased with the voyage and I was very well guided to what I was hoping to do. Swoop staff were always very helpful, even when I panicked as my cabin no was not shown on ships plan, and your hepl with booking flights was invaluable.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
10 out of 10
You chose a/an experience. How was that experience?
All my expectations were meet and passed, and proved to be the correct choice for me, and I was most certainly recommend to any one interested in this active type holiday. I have only suggestion for the operator that I feel that this is not a holiday suitable for a child under 12 years, as the child on our cruise was not able to understand not to chase penguins up the beach and did so on two separate occasions.
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
All flights went to plan, travel documents arrived, and my personal itinerary was easy to follow
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
2 real highlights watching an iceberg calve and yelled at to move NOW and getting out onto an iceberg. The staff were fun always and very careful to ensure our safety at all times, they managed to come across as excited as we were. The wild life performed with total indifference to us, and we were able to view them at close quarters in their own enviroment
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Listen to the experts and follow their advice
Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)
I can't share photos as I don't take them! I can't multi task and kayak and take photos! I have other peoples photos to enjoy, and it is a memory that will always be there
