Yes, always felt safe. The staff were obviously well-trained.
Tell us about the expedition team
Awesome! Pelin was the best, very knowledgeable and excellent guide. I thought Marcel, Felicity, and Chloe were also really on top of everything. Only someone needs to tell Marcel--it's "weather-permitting", not "weather-preventing".
Tell us about the Hondius
Ship was nice than I expected, cabin larger than I thought. Very comfortable space, liked the lounge as well. I would be happy to go on this ship again. The food was decent as well, I was impressed by the variety the kitchen offered. I do think they need to work on their food labeling though. A souffle does not equal hot chocolate and the "warm chocolate pudding" was a brownie?
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Bring two sets of base layers and two sets of your middle layers at least, so you have a pair to swap out when one gets wet.
