Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I always felt safe. The most memorable zodiac cruises were those which included landings.
Tell us about the expedition team
The expedation team was well-qualified. Ashley, the tour leader, organized all activities well and briefed passengers on a daily basis. Others like Heidi gave introductions to the wildife and guided daily viewings at the deck.
Tell us about the Greg Mortimer
Greg Mortimer was right-sized as it was small enough to get close to land and large enough to offer distractions while on sea (gym, lecture hall). The food was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Do include South Georgia Island when going to Antarctica as we did as it allows to get close to wild life.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I have more of an understanding now how Antarctica, our 7th continent is like.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt well prepared by Swoop and other sources (for example as what to wear to withstand the temperatures), I was excited to actually reach the Antarctic Peninsula,
