What was your most memorable moment?
Crossing the Antarctic circle at midnight on new years, stepping foot on the Antarctic continent (our 7th continent!), PENGUINS, kayaking through ice and snow and among giant icebergs, polar plunge, standing on point wild (elephant island), the opportunity to have had Greg Mortimer as our expedition lead, walking amongst the wildlife at fortuna bay (South Georgia), observing chicks at the Falklands…truly so many memorable moments it’s impossible to pick just one!

Tell us about the expedition team
We had such a diverse expedition team, and each member truly provided so much knowledge, experience, and perspective. We were also lucky to have Greg Mortimer as our expedition lead, which was invaluable.
Tell us about the Kayaking
We would recommend kayaking as a must for anyone traveling to this part of the world. We felt so utterly immersed in our surroundings, and enjoyed the solitude kayaking provided. It was an incredible experience to kayak amongst towering icebergs and we felt closer to the nature and wildlife.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Absolutely, but I’m still honestly struggling to put words around it. This is a place so rich in history and natural beauty. It’s one of the few truly wild places left on our planet, and there is something so powerful and mesmerizing in that. This was a life changing experience, and I definitely left pieces of myself scattered around Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falklands.
