Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Executed very well. Two a day is a lot - nice to be an able to skip a day or half a day - Landings were ok- a couple of them we did not see any wildlife - just a short hike.
Tell us about the expedition team
Team was great- friendly and knowledgeable to guests. It was nice to see them eat meals with guests and not alone at a special table by themselves.
Tell us about Ushuaia
Town was nice and safe- hotel was too far out of town and not walkable to the city center
Tell us about Punta Arenas
Our flight was delayed and took all day to get to Punta Arenas- had no time to site see- sleep at the hotel and wake up and leave was all we could do-
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Leave extra time to the fly in and out type of cruise- Sarah Orson made this suggestion and it saved A LOT of headache- Thank you Sarah for the advice
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes-visiting Antarctica- a place that does not belong to mankind - I have never felt so out of my element while there.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Working with Sarah Orson helped us prepare- we took all of her advice and recommendations for the trip
