Overall, how was your trip?

Over the top fabulous trip. Surprise: 1)I don't think I understood that the trip was not a "Swoop" trip but rather a brokered trip booked through the ship's operator. 2)I didn't expect that over half the people of the trip (China residents) would not speak English. Made it tough for getting them understanding instructions. The variety of people from 13 countries was great; the other 12 countries could speak some or fluent English.

In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?

Exceeded my expectations. Fabulous!

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

I do not remember that there was a real choice about cabin other than the # of people per cabin. Cabins are very SMALL but very comfortable; only one bed had space below it for gear which makes it tough for two people. I don't know that that is the same in each cabin. The ship's operator provided a very nice dry (waterproof) bag and a luggage scale. It would have been nice to know that in advance so I didn't need to buy a bag. Most of the other brokers provided their clients with a fleece or thermal wicking t shirt or knit hat or some other gear with that company's name on it. Swoop did not. I would think Swoop might want to have a more visible marketing item even tho I recognize that the shipping cost might be prohibitive. Swoop staff service prior to the trip was very good even when misunderstanding had to be discussed. We made our own travel arrangements to save money and because Hotel Cabo del Hornes told us there was no space. I think if we had better known the connection between Swoop and the ship's operator, it would have been easier to negotiate pre and post trip. As it turned out, we were delayed a day returning from Antarctica so we ended up with having pre-paid for a night's hotel when the ship's operator provided that night gratis for all others. Swoop could have told us about the van service ($5000csp) from the airport, rather than taxi, when arriving separately from the ship operator's bus.

You chose a/an 66 Degrees South Fly Cruise experience. How was that experience?

Exceeded my expectations and was the correct choice for my goals. You should let clients know that there are other tour operators sending clients on the same experience; not everyone is through Swoop.

If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?

Let people know that hotels in Chile use a 3 prong plug not the 2 prong that the ship uses (same style as the 2 but with one extra prong in the row).

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?

The staff was exceptional to a person.
