What was your most memorable moment?
My partner proposed to me at Orne Harbor as chinstrap penguins wandered by, and then we got to see a group of humpback whales on the zodiac cruise right after!

The food was wonderful and the cabin comfortable. I loved the small feel and the hospitality of the staff.

Ali was incredible. She kept everything running on time and ensured we got the most out of our experience (and was our impromptu proposal photographer!).
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
On one cruise we got to see a group of 4-5 humpback whales up close, and another we got to see several sleeping leopard seals.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
The advice about layering was spot on! Temperatures were hovering around freezing for the entire trip and I never felt cold. Pack seasickness medicine for the Drake Passage, just in case. I wish I could have gotten a better camera, although my phone got some great photos.
