Hebridean SkyOverall, how was your trip?
The highlight was without a doubt was South Georgia due to its magnificent scenery and wildlife. There was a mixture of people , most were very nice.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
The section on Antarctica was cut over 2 days due to bad weather on the open seas. I can’t give u a full opinion though what I saw was magnificent
Would you visit again?
Maybe
How was the service that Swoop provided?
I think swoop did a very good job in coordination and communication with its passengers. Swoop didn’t help me with picking the voyage or ship as I found the ship operator on my own.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
8 out of 10
You chose a/an South Georgia, Antarctica and Falklands Luxury Explorer experience. How was that experience?
Due to the weather on the high seas, we lost almost 3 full days which was unfortunate. This dampened my experience but it was unavoidable. Better to be safe than sorry. Ship and crew were excellent. Food was very good as well. Only suggestion would be to put in a better internet transmitter. Yes I know it’s satellite but I think a bigger system could be set up especially due to possible bad weather conditions
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
The arakur hotel though out of town was an excellent choice. All travel documents and logistics were handled very well
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
The expedition staff on board were excellent. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Again South Georgia was the highlight.
Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)
I’ve been to Patagonia and to the Arctic already
