Ocean DiamondOverall, how was your trip?
The complete journey was fantastic. Every day would reveal yet more wonders of the cold continent. Words cannot describe what your eyes see. No camera can capture the experience. You name it we saw it - no polar bears though. (people back home kept asking) There was not one negative about the "experience". People from 15 to 89, from every walks of life added to the expedition. The surprise was the adventure itself, how fantastic it was.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
A fantastic trip. Exceeded all my expectations. I have travelled extensively and I would rate this expedition one of the top two.
Would you visit again?
Yes
How was the service that Swoop provided?
January to my way of thinking is the best time to go, penguins with there chicks, lots of seals and whales. Thanks to Swoop on selecting this expedition through this ship operator. Pre & Post contacts by Swoop (John) were spot on. No complaint's what so ever. I do not have any suggestions to improve the whole experience. keep the great work up.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
10 out of 10
You chose a/an Antarctic Explorer experience. How was that experience?
You have to be there' words cannot describe your experience.
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
I organized my own travel through frequent flyer rewards. Transfers from & to the airport was well organized.
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
Brilliant scenery and wildlife. Penguins very cheeky and ignored you as they walked past. Leopard seals were big and a bit scary. Staff were very experienced and knew their jobs.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
I have already got in touch with friends that would like to do the trip. I have already sent them photos.
