Tell us about the expedition team
Every single staff, crew, and expedition member I met was fantastic! How often can you say that? A special shout out to Rose, Angel, Koen, Alexis, Juan, and Matthias.
Tell us about the Hondius
Fantastic boat! Definitely recommend. The stabilizers made the Drake passage less rocky. The cabin was very comfortable. Food was great! I wish there was more variety of breakfast foods and more variety for the plated dinners, but overall the food was great!

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
We enjoyed them greatly! Most memorable moments were watching 2 sleeping humpback whales from 50 feet away and navigating through icy water to get back to the ship. What an adventure!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Plan far in advance and take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and information that the Swoop team has. Ask them questions! They will have answers! I also highly recommend using the airline booking service that Swoop works with. I've never used a travel agent to book flights before, but I'm very glad I did for this trip!
