MS ExpeditionOverall, how was your trip?
The stark beauty of Antarctica really opened my eyes to this part of the world. We were able to see numerous types of penquins, two types of whales, many seals, etc. And seeing the chicks was a highlight for me. The biggest surprise for us is that we made record time crossing the Drake Passage..as it was truly the DRAKE LAKE in both directions! We got lucky.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
One of the most amazing trips I have ever taken!

How was the service that Swoop provided?
If it hadn't been for John, I probably would have lost it with all the problems we had just getting to Ushsaia! THANK YOU JOHN FOR ALL YOUR HELP! It is in those times that you really appreciate knowing there will be someone there to call upon and who will be there to help.

You chose a/an experience. How was that experience?
This cruise was outstanding! Everything about it was great. Love the small number of passengers, the lecturers were very knowledgeable and spoke on interesting topics. I am very pleased that we chose the QUEST OF THE CIRCLE, and we made it too!
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
We stayed at the Albatross Hotel pre and post cruise, which I really enjoyed as it gave us a good idea of the town of Ushsaia...good location too. We did not have any issues at all with the hotel. Clean/personable staff.
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
LOVE THEM! We were able to take photo zodiac tours, regular zodiac tours, and landing zodiacs.....all were perfect! We were able to get relatively close to the icebergs and animals in the ocean.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
As the ad says: JUST DO IT! If you are an adventurer and have a sense of humor you are ready for a trip of a lifetime.....ANTARCTICA.
