Tell us about Zodiac excursions
It was a great idea to include the zodiac cruises. It provided the opportunity to see many areas that would otherwise use be missed if only land visits were made. Many passengers mentioned how much they enjoyed them.
Tell us about the expedition team
The team was superb! Friendly , helpful, just great. Sara Jenner was outstanding! Efficient , effective, and extremely helpful. Mal Haskins was very friendly and approchable.
Tell us about the Ortelius
The facilities were very good, better than expected; the cabin was clean, spacious, and the mattress very good. I slept like a baby. The food was outstanding in flavor and variety…exceptional.
Something Else?
The bar and dining room attendants were remarkable efficient, good humored and friendly. It was great to see them smile when we went in the dining room, in the middle of the serving chaos.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Follow the instructions and ask questions if you have them.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
No, but reinforced them. I’m very glad I made the trip.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
This trip was for younger adult an not for older people. The activities would have been too much for older people.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt well prepared.
