Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Do not book far in advance. The prices went down and a lot of people including my roommate had a much better deal booking about one month in advance.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I'm very proud if my personal achievement andxrealize that it could be not an easy one if the Drake Passage would be more rough or bad weather would alter any plans. We were lucky, the whole trip was just a joy, fun and a great learning experience.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The team were great, but I realized only after I booked it that it was an agency, not a direct provider.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I feel I was well prepared as I took an Arctica cruise last year with a similar experience, aka Zoidiac cruising and landing. I knew what to expect.
