What was your most memorable moment?
Cruising down the Neumeyer channel, sunny , no wind, surrounded by absolute breathtaking beauty, snow covered peaks, reflected in the calm waters, nature at her best.

These were fabulous, exciting, informative, a wonderful way to get close to nature and at all times you felt super safe.
Tell us about the expedition team
The expedition team were so professional yet always super friendly and always ready to help you, inform you and keep you safe , and always making sure we understand that it was a privilege to visit one of the world’s very special regions, and always making absolutely sure that we were respecting the animals and birds that lived there, and understanding that we were in their environment and had to respect that .
Tell us about the Seaventure
A fabulous ship , absolute comfort, space , so well maintained, layout was perfect and so convenient. Cabin so comfortable , bed so cosy, and the bathroom was perfect. The only thing that could have been done better , was the choice of cabin mates . I am 77 and I was paired with a 39 year old party girl and it was a bit of a mismatch. It would have been better to have been with someone more my age and with similar interests.
Tell us about Ushuaia
Ushuaia was beautiful, loved the snow capped mountains and the highlight was a king crab lunch at the best restaurant in town. We had to queue for about 45 minutes but made new friends in the queue and enjoyed talking to a young Dutch couple on their six month honeymoon.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Don’t pack too much!!!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It has made me more aware of looking after our beautiful world and protecting all the different species that live here.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Cassia and Carola were so wonderful and made sure that the trip would live up to our expectations.

The whole adventure far exceeded our expectations and more and more!
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I have had the privilege of visiting Antarctica before , to the Ross Sea region , so I was fully prepared and super excited to see it from the other side of the world. My son and his wife who travelled with me, were also very well prepared, thanks to the advice given by Cassia and Carola and also from me , They were super excited and were not disappointed.
