What was your most memorable moment?
All of it! Incredible to experience Antarctica onboard the Ortelius, fantastic crew looking after us all, zodiac cruises, mountaineering, hiking, wildlife close up with penguins, whales, orca’s.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Cruising the Lemaire channel late at night watching whales feed and pushing through the brash ice. Apparently something very few get to experience. Felt safe at all times with competent drivers.
Tell us about the expedition team
Very knowledgeable and happy to explain and answer questions. Chris did amazing for his first time leading.
Tell us about the Ortelius
Cabin for four on deck four was roomier than expected. Food was good, facilities aligned with the adventure theme. Captain Per very friendly and crew accommodating to let us up on the bridge.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Don’t wait, just do it! Ski clothes are suitable. If mountaineering make sure you have the right boots, read the advice carefully so you aren’t disappointed.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Greater appreciation for the size and scale of Antarctica. Such a beautiful place that needs to be protected.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Good communication and good website with lots of information.

Well prepared, super excited to go along after thinking about it for a long time.
