What was your most memorable moment?
It's really hard to single out the best bits as the whole holiday was awesome. Climbing to the base of Torres del Paine & the base of Mt Fiz Roy were the highlights of Patagonia. The whole Antarctica experience was amazing endless sea, sky & icy mountains unimaginable scenery. Seeing the wildlife up close was something to treasure for ever.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I really enjoyed the zodiac excursion, we got up close to wildlife which is not the same as seeing it from the ship. The team were very safety conscious & ensured you were safe at all times. Themost memorable zodiac crusie was when we saw a leopard seal catch a penguin & then thrash it to death - rather mecabre but this is the reality of nature. Apparently it is very rare to witness.
Tell us about the expedition team
All the Quark team were extreamly knowledgeable & very friendly. I liked how they joined the passengers at meal times rather than just sitting together. Amy the Quark lead was amazing keeping us informed at all times. The rest of the team were all excellent & it is impossible to pick out individuals as they all were outstanding. Favourate lecture was the geography / geologyone as well as the history of Antarctica.
Tell us about the World Explorer
This is the first time on a cruise ship & it lived up to my expectations. Our cabin was very comfortable & a decent size. It was also great having a balcony so we could sit outside (wrapped up) & watch the icebergs & wildlife go by. The food was superb plenty of variety & the standard was amazing as well as the service from the waiters. I would have no hesitation in choosing this ship again.

The information provided covered everything so we were well prepared
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes - Antarctica is such a vast beautiful place that needs to be preserved.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Extremely excited about the trip as it was booked 18 months in advance & a life long ambition to get to the 7th Continent. As we ski the weather was not a shock to us & we found it milder than we thought it would be
