What was your most memorable moment?
My most memorable moment was kayaking. Early morning, the only sounds were the ice tinkling around us and our paddles breaking the surface of the water.

Tell us about the Paddling
I would definitely recommend booking at least one kayak trip. You see Antarctica from a different vantage point and feel much more immersed.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Read the packing guides in the Adventure Planner! I am glad I brought everything they suggested but I definitely brought too much of it. I ended up wearing mostly the same coordinates over and over.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
This journey has entirely changed my life. I have enrolled in a Spanish class and bought a kayak since returning! (Hopefully in preparation for a return trip!)
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Although the Arakur is obviously an amazing resort, I found it very out of the way. Having to take a shuttle downtown definitely hindered our experience of being able to explore Ushuaia, especially the night life.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt very prepared. I don’t tend to get excited until it is actually happening but I could feel some solid anticipation as the days counted down.
