Tell us about Zodiac excursions
They were always fun and I always felt safe. They all seemed different and interesting.
Tell us about the expedition team
The crew was really good. They seemed to be entusiastic and caring. I liked Gui from France and the guy who spoke about Shackelton. I think he was from Norway..Yide maybe
Tell us about the Ocean Albatros
The boat was very nice. Just the right size for what we were doing. My single cabin was good for me. No super big but still comfortable. The food was typically good. The dinners were probably the best meal of the day. I'm sure I put on a few pounds. I really liked the boat. I might book it again if I go back.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Just get ready to cross the Drake. If you're prone to seasickness, just have medication ready.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It's always cool to travel to new places that are very different and unique
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
They all seemed to work well together. I started with Mike P and he handed me off to Carolina who was also very helpful
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I was ready!!!!
