Tell us about the Greg Mortimer
Would choose the ship again, without a doubt. My only negative would be that the staterooms were too warm and there weren't any realistic options to cool them other than opening a window, which is problematic during a major transit.
Tell us about the Paddling
Excellent and great fun. I would add, however, that we were not in any way informed that paddling would be unavailable at South Georgia Island until after that ship had sailed and certainly after we had committed our money to the endeavor. I'm not really complaining as it was still well worth it, but this is information that needs to be plainly visible in the voyage brochures in the future.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Do it!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Not really. I've always appreciated and sought out the wild spaces on Earth.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
None other than those elucidated above.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Very. By the way, I've submitted only one photo below. It's my daughter's and she's probably submitted it as well but in my view it's the best photograph of the trip.
