Island SkyOverall, how was your trip?
The highlight of the trip was actually setting foot on the "seventh" continent. The wildlife was awesome. would have liked to have seen are the King and Emperor penguins (I know they are not usually in that part of Antarctica). Everyone on the trip was Awesome Including the Swoop staff.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
A truly remarkable place. Yes.
Would you visit again?
Yes
How was the service that Swoop provided?
Swoop was awesome. Very helpful before, during and after the trip. The Island Sky is definitely the ship to go on (or it's sister ship).
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
9 out of 10
You chose a/an Antarctic Peninsula Classic experience. How was that experience?
It definitely lived up to my expectations. I would recommend it to others to get a feel for Antarctica. Swoop and the ship's operator were awesome.
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
Everything was great except for a minor miscommunication regarding our arrival date after the voyage. With a couple of emails, Swoop resolved our issue with no problems. The hotels on both ends of our trip were excellent.
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
The staff was great. The only thing that could have made it better...is to let me drive the Zodiac.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Do it! If you have a budget for an excursion style trip, save up some extra money and cruise the Island Sky/Hebriden Sky. It's worth the extra money.
