What was your most memorable moment?
Penguins - hands down. Walking among them on shore was the best. Zodiac trips a poor second but in the bird flu situation, understandable.

Super. Ali was a wonderful trip leader - upbeat, thoughtful, inspirational. Her experience and passion for South Georgia were especially appreciated.
Tell us about the Plancius
I liked the fairly small ship instead of a monster boat. Downside was no exercise facilities at all. It was very rough for several days so even walking around outside was not an option as decks closed. I felt very cooped up for too long. The porthole cabin though exceeded my expectations - single bed comfy (like a water bed!) slept very well. Lots of space to stow gear. Fine for 2 people - not claustrophobic as I had expected.
Tell us about Ushuaia
Dramatic setting with Andes just outside the door. However, one day would have been enough instead of the two recommended. The Jarke where we stayed was perfect.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes - I now have a much better understanding of the politics, issues of the area as well as the wildlife.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The Swoop team was great - I was a little surprised to discover that Swoop fed into Oceanwide instead of managing the whole thing - but that was not a problem - it was just a surprise. Oceanwide was solid, and did a great job with keeping a boatload of people from going crazy over 3 weeks with lots of sea days - and of those, 3 to 4 of rockin' and rollin' with high seas. Nice touches, support staff were always professional, friendly, attentive and I do not know how they kept their feet in all the ship movements - hands full of dishes & trays!
