Tell us about the Ocean Albatros
We traveled aboard the Ocean Albatross. The ship is beautiful, the Naturalists’ enthusiasm, knowledge and willingness to share their knowledge exceeded expectations. Szymon, who was in charge of our off ship excursions, was able pivot immediately when one planned excursion was made impossible due to weather or other conditions. Generally when one excursion was cancelled Szymon and the ship’s captain worked together to get us to another excursion site that was equally interesting. On the few occasions when it was impossible to substitute another excursion, the Naturalists filled in onboard with excellent and informative presentations. The food, dining service and cabin service were absolutely wonderful! I would love to travel to the Arctic with them in the future!!!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Be flexible and you will not be disappointed. It’s not so much a planned trip as it is an ongoing annd wonderful adventure!
