Stepping onto the Antarctica mainland. It was my 7th continent to touch in my lifetime.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
I felt like a great explorer! So fun. Safety was important and the drivers did a great job keeping us safe. On the zodiac cruises, I enjoyed hearing what the drivers knew about the land and the animals. One thing to consider...on one of the Zodiac cruises, we went up near some seals on land and it would have been nice for the driver to make 2 passes making a 180 turn so that both sides of the Zodiac could easily see what was being observed. That maneuver instead of having people one side of the boat having to either twist their backs or get on knees and turn around.

While everyone was knowledgeable and friendly, Brandon was my favorite. He shared a lot of what he knew about the birds.
Tell us about the SH Diana
Perfect ship for what we were looking for. Easy to get around. Everything was very clean. The food and wine were excellent. I noticed the dining staff adjusted the pasta bar when the first night the logistics created a confusing line between the main buffet and the pasta bar. Nice! Special note for the dining staff member, Roselle....she memorized just about every guest's name after the 1st day...that's just crazy good! What a special person she is! The cabin (520) exceeded my expectation, Our steward was masterful in keeping our room clean and orderly. It was my birthday on Dec 15 and I loved the towel animals/cade on my bed!!! I used the hot tub several days and temperature was perfect. Loved soaking while watching the landscape! And the bridge tour? Wow...my first time to ever be on a ship bridge - thank you for allowing that! The officers were so nice to us! The base camp was a neat idea. Thank you to the crew for managing that! The polar plunge went very well.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone at Swan Hellenic and Swoop. What an experience!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Ha ha....I don't want to cruise any other way now.... you spoiled me. :) The Swoop/Swan Hellenic team is strong. I am really interested in the West Africa trip in 2026.

Well prepared and excited. Exceeded my expectations. I'll never forget this experience.
