What was your most memorable moment?

Two: the inmense pinguin colony(s) in St. Andrews Bay on South Georgia and the very inpressive landscape of the Artic Penisula on January 13th, when the weather was very bright!

Very knowledgeable and professional team. Extremely friendly, really try to make your trip unforgettable. Special notice for the lectures of Paul and Bex which I liked most. Also very much appreciated the daily updates from Nate

Again: very dedicated and professional crew and comfortable ship: not too big, which made it more cosy, Service on board was from high level: delicious food during the whole day and whole trip (3 weeks!), quick service from house keeping, very friendly crew,

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?

Depending what you're looking for, but for us (smaller) ship and organisation of Polar Latitudes was a good fit. Also the way it was build up: first Falklands, than South Georgia and Peninsula at the end is the best order

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

Although all very much aware of situation; the vunerability the planet was more clear. Both South Georgia and Antarctica are maybe one of the last untouched areas on earth. Allthough it is clear everywhere humans pop up in earlier days, we came to ruin; looking at seal and whaling station on South Georgia.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

Not really. As trip was very close to perfection. Within the Polar Latitudes team I was very positive about Nate (team lead), Paul and Bex. The only team member which did not really fit for me/us was Randy, responsible for the music. Karaoke and crew events were (very - crew) nice, but the solo events from Randy were a bit odd. Maybe nice for cruise for old (80+) people on the river Rhine, but we preferred the tape with music. Although it was a way of "odd funny" too, but not something which had a good fit for us..

How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?

A lot, also because we booked early and it took a while..

Would you consider another trip to Antarctica with Swoop?

Yes

Would you be interested in travelling to Patagonia with Swoop?

Yes
