What was your most memorable moment?
There were so many! I think the most emotive was the camping experience on Antarctic "soil", others include incredible landings with many penguins, to watch them in their habitat, the whales and orcas' viewings, the first encounter with Antarctica, on the early morning of our arrival, the ice closing on us in one of the landings, the so interesting talks about what we were viewing , the fauna and other subjects, the possibility to go to the bridge and look at the navigation instruments and the incredible view from the bridge itself, the gentleness and availabitlity of all the personnel that took care of us, especially George, Valeria, Lucia and Saskia...

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
I think the with all the advice, references and seminar given before hand, it was informative ans useful enough
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes about "tourist cruises", which I usually hate (I work as a marine biologist so I have a lot of scientific expeditions (so far 51, 45as chief scientist), because of the accent in alcohol, and their organization, made mainly for people with no interest in nature, conservation, or scientific subjects, only in the casinos, and uninteresting conversations. Yours, by contrast was interesting and mind challenging from the beginning to the end. I will look for espeditions of this kind in the future! mabe to the artic? or other remote detinations?

How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I have wanted to go there for more than 30 years!
