What was your most memorable moment?
There were so many, it’s tough to pick one. Moment of silence on top of Danco island (hearing avalanches, whales and penguins in the distance) sticks out. Close encounter with humpbacks in the zodiac. Camping overnight with the most amazing skyline.

Tell us about the expedition team
George and the entire team were absolutely phenomenal. They gave us the most of our experience, always having an upbeat attitude and willing to share their knowledge.
Tell us about the Hondius
Cabin was a little more spacious than we expected which was great. Clean facilities, really enjoyed staying on this ship.
Were Swoop right to recommend Oceanwide Expeditions?
Yes

Yes! So many opportunities to experience them & the staff was great. Most memorable was our close encounter to humpback whales.

Only recommendation would be having more food options in between meals.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Invest in water proof gloves/ bring extra just in case.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Makes me want to go back to Antarctica even more.
