What was your most memorable moment?
Too many so called 'moments' ... zodiac cruising alongside the Drygalski Glacier in the mist and encountering a 'Mary Celeste' lookalike (Heritage A) sitting in the mist was a 'moment' ... but the quality of and frequency of presenters and expedition staff willing to share knowledge and enhance the experience was/is so memorable.
Which of the following best describes your adventure?
Life changing
On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend or colleague?
9 out of 10
On a scale of 0 to 10, how would you rate your trip: Ross Sea Discovery: In Scott & Shackleton's Footsteps?
9 out of 10
Were Swoop right to recommend Heritage?
Yes
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Conducted with military style precision without undue discipline. Did not miss any zodiac cruise and did not feel 'unsafe' at any time although the experience of risk and discomfort (cold, wet) was retained, as per expectations.
Tell us about the expedition team
Yes, they were all as per the above prompt. I shall not even attempt to identify any single 'stand out' ... they were all outstanding.
Tell us about the MS Adventurer
Yes. Cabin splendid. Food and service was too generous.
Something Else?
Just wish I could do one trip a year for the rest of my days. I met a lady on board that was on her 29th voyage !
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Don't hesitate ... but remember to check how far it is and how big it is so your mind can cope with 'vastness' like never before. Also, be prepared for a Southern Ocean 'swell time'.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Honestly 'no' ... but I feel so privileged and exalted to have confirmed that my perspective was as per the reality
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Just give me another 'ride' to Antarctica
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
As in Q #2 ... I feel that I was prepared, and I don't recall being excited to any elevated degree, more so just the satisfaction of matching my expectation with the reality of being there and 'feeling' it for real.
Would you consider another trip to Antarctica with Swoop?
Yes
Would you be interested in travelling to Patagonia with Swoop?
No
Would you be interested in travelling to The Arctic with Swoop?
No
