Zodiac excursions were fun, exciting, with memorable scenery and wildlife. The expedition team members were knowledgeable and fun all the time having our safety in mind

Extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, made even difficult times easier. Mario our expedition leader is a real keeper! Tansin as assistant team lead was calm, friendly and knowledgeable. Sergi as a zodiac driver just made those excursions even more exciting. Favourite lecture was women in the Antarctic.

Ship was very comfortable even in slightly heavy seas. Food was excellent. Definitely would choose this ship again
Something Else?
Yes. We had an unfortunate incident requiring emergency evacuation which was handled in a professional and effective manner. However I and almost all others on board were surprised to see that the costly evacuation insurance we all purchased meant that in this situation the entire ship would be adversely affected by this. I believe strongly that this needs to be highlighted when thinking of cruising in this environment. I probably should have known this but my limited knowledge of how an evacuation would occur did not entail the fact that it might affect everyone not just the affected person. The offer of a reduced fare trip in the future is a nice and reasonable gesture to mitigate the issue. Not knowing the medical details exactly I wonder if the individual concerned should have been allowed to travel in the first instance.
