Excellent zodiac excursions with well trained crew.
Tell us about the expedition team
Extremely knowledgeable and friendly with many excellent lectures. Loved the one on Orcas. All of the staff members were top class.
Tell us about the SH Vega
Loved our suite - only downside was no black out curtains which was odd. Food was excellent - great variety for al meals. Would definitely choose this ship again.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Pick a small ship. The SH Vega went through ice to take us into bays that other ships could not enter. The ship would turn and follow whales if they were spotted - big ships cant do this.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Showed us how precious and fragile Antarctica is - and how we should work to protect places like this.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
We were prepared - thanks to the information and webinars provided by Swoop. We could alsocall or email them at any time. Carola was exceptional in the experience and help to us.
