Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Make sure you understand what you are signing up for. Understand it’s touristy and not pristine. I go to the extreme parts of the planet to explore, trek, and hunt. This is not an adventure, this is a cruise.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
It was nearly universal from the people we spoke to that the ship was fantastic, but the experience was underwhelming. Long way to go to spend a few hours off the boat. The camping was a joke. The landings were boring, not unique, and over crowded. This was a cruise not to be confused with an expedition or something experiential. Borders on Disneyland. With that said the staff, captain, and expedition leaders executed their jobs and the agenda. I do feel there was some critical moves by the captain and Scotty that salvaged what would have been a disaster by catching weather, maximizing poor landings, etc. I was in total awe of the unworldly continent but wished I had experienced it first hand………
