Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Well managed, and felt safe every time. Most memorable was when we went out on a calm ocean with icebergs everywhere and saw a leopard seal extremely up close.
Tell us about the expedition team
Expedition team did an excellent job. They were friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. Diego was a great expedition team leader, but they all stood out. My favorite lecture was about climate change in Antarctica and how it effects global weather patterns. They even added on an extra day on land for us when we arrived earlier than planned.
Tell us about the Ocean Victory
Great ship, cabin was well kept and amazing. The staff was extremely friendly, and would look out for guests personally. I would definitely go back to this ship again!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Plan some extra days in Buenos Aires and/or Ushuaia before or after. Great addition to the trip as well. Would recommend watching all the videos on your website beforehand as well. Would definitely recommend splurging on a nice camera with good lenses for this once in a lifetime trip!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It was amazing to see antarctica and wildlife, and the effects human activity has had on them.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Swoop did a great job in every aspect, and I will be recommending them to everyone I know if they are considering traveling.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt well prepared but still a bit anxious about how remote it was. When we saw the level of experience of the team and ship crew, it helped us put our minds at ease. We were very excited to go on this trip and disappointed it ended.
