PlanciusOverall, how was your trip?
Highlight was kayaking on Christmas morning in a snowstorm. Loved the blue iceburgs, 1000's of penguins, seals and whales. We loved being on an expedition ship where there was no majority of demographic...ages from 10-81, couples, singles, families....people from all different countries. I hope to return someday...maybe with my grandchildren.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
Antarctica was magical. It exceeded my expectations.

Swoop was fantastic. We were provided with great service, efficient and quality responses to our many questions. Swoop found us the perfect expedition to match our interests and budget. Alex followed up with us throughout the process and called us the day of our departure to wish us a wonderful trip.

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
Loved the variety of the landings. We had 12 in total. Each experience was different. Expedition staff was awesome!
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
Everything was perfect! Great Air B and B in Ushuaia. Thanks for the gift...we got lots of use of our Swoop neck warmers.
How would you describe {vessel.title} if talking to somebody potentially interested in going to Antarctica, and what tips would you pass on?
Exceeded. Christmas was made special..with an over the top Christmas Eve dinner. Silent Night was sun in many different languages. Surprise gift rapt our door Christmas morning. Loved the BBQ dinner.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Book with Swoop. Bring waterproof gloves for kayaking.
