MS AdventurerOverall, how was your trip?
Landscape and beauty like no other place on Earth. The staff went above and beyond. They were specialist in their fields and loved their jobs, Amazing. Wildlife everywhere, just so peaceful and serene out there in Antartica. Yes there was bad weather, it was a bit cold but that’s what you get for going to the bottom of the earth! The cruise itenerary did change and we got to go to Falkland Island as well, what a lovely surprise. We had a famous person on our ship, such fun!
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
It was an amazing once in a lifetime trip!
Would you visit again?
Maybe
How was the service that Swoop provided?
Service was above and beyond, everyone loved to help and could talk your ear off or not...it was incredible, all the passengers too were friendly and kind, very well travelled people, all ages not just seniors. Thankfully only two little kids, but they had travelled to 45 countries already, they hardly count. Everyone was polite and went with the flow. As for Swoop they found me the perfect ship and timing was perfect. Lots of info and planning before hand was all done in style.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?

You chose a/an Discovering the Antarctic Peninsula experience. How was that experience?
I loved everything about this trip, even the itenerary change didn’t bother me, it added to the adventure. This was a total adventure. I had two weeks with my son on a trip of a lifetime. There is no other experience better then a travel excursion with family! Totally recommend this for the travel experienced person and their friends and family! Only query would be that there should be a drinking package and there should be a store with snacks and shopping..more then what they did have anyways.
You chose to do {category.title} on this voyage. How was that experience?
Kayaking is so much fun, they teach you everything you need to know even though you know already how to kayak, just to be safe. But you don’t know about conditions in Antartica, so they teach it, its awesome fun. TRY IT!!
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
I booked my own accommodations as well as my flights, I like to know what I booked rather then others booking for me, no surprises. But I was given great advice and followed the timing and planning that was suggested. Note: Argentina money is hard to get a hold of in their ATM, just be wary and bring American cash and hope for the best. Go with the flow...it works out in the end..mostly lol.
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
All of the excursions were exciting and breathtaking. Go on all of them they always surprise you and there’s so much wonder all around. Bring two of everything warm, gloves hats and scarves they can get wet always good to have a spare. Wildlife was constant, never disappointed, I’m almost tired of seeing penguins and whales....IT NEVER GETS BORING!!! Icebergs are bigger then you think!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Just be calm and understanding, go with the flow. Bring extra warm stuff, its better to have them then to wish you brought them. It can actually be warm sometimes but you can take off stuff if needed. If you can pull it off, take the longer trip, there is nothing to regret on this kind of trip.
