Ocean AdventurerOverall, how was your trip?
I could write pages. The highlight was of course the wildlife. I have been to several places where I had seen pictures before I got to my destination and the reality greatly exceeded the pictures. There is no way you can imagine 200,000 nesting pairs of penguins or nesting albatrosses until youn have seen them in real life.
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
The trip was far better than I could have imagined in my wildest dreams.

How was the service that Swoop provided?
You guys did a great job. You were responsive when I had questions and the advice that you gave me was spot on. Although I did not have a great choice of ships, the ship and the people on the ship were wonderful. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had the time and the money.

You chose a/an South Georgia in Focus experience. How was that experience?
We lucked out with the weather while the ships doing the Drake Passage were suffering. We got into several place that ships almost never get into. The expedition leader was amazed at the places that we visited.
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
I made all my travel arrangements myself. The one thing that I did wrong and this was not your fault is that I probably could have flown into BA and connected directly to a flight to Ushuaia instead of having to transfer from EZE to AEP. A bit of a pain but it worked and it certainly was not your fault. You might however suggest to clients that they investigate same airport connections instead of doing what In did.
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
As I indicated, the whole trip was highlights. We did see several icebergs including one tabular iceberg off in the distance.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
DO IT!!!

The reason that I would not consider Patagonia is that I have already been there.
