OrteliusOverall, how was your trip?
I was in a vessel with 50 other young women, which is rare and it was incredible! Lots of new friendships. The whole staff and crew of Ortelius was phenomenal! The landscape is incredible, not possible to take a bad picture, and loads of pinguins!
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
An amazing experience, it was beyond my expectations.

How was the service that Swoop provided?
I am very please and will book with swoop again, but I would like to have had more clarify on the possibilities of doing all the Basecamp activities, as I had understood that I would be camping 2 nights and get to do all the activities I signed up to, which was not the case.

You chose a/an Antarctic Basecamp Adventure experience. How was that experience?
All expectations were net and it was incredible! Would however would like to have done more expedition activities, as I felt that I didn't do enough and I didn't have a chance to do them all, like kayaking.
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
All was great thanks! Loved all the weekly updates and info you sent.
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
I'm pinguined out! No more gentoos please! LOL, amazing everything, and the icebergs are so surreal! Need to go back. The staff was the best!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
You don't get to go all the activities if there are many people interested in them and the weather is not good. But I think that the ship's operator could organized itself better so that the gap between those who do everything and those who barely got a chance to do anything is not that big. What ever gear you have, will be good. Don't go crazy thinking you need everything on the list. Be creative and use layers!
