Polar PioneerOverall, how was your trip?
From beginning to end the trip was fantastic. It was so educational and I learned more about the wildlife, geology and history of Antarctica than I could have imagined. All the staff and crew members were knowlegeable and helpful. The highlight had to be getting so close to the humpback whales while we were on the zodiac
In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?
It was absolutely awe inspiring and the most exciting adventure I have ever been on
Would you visit again?
Maybe
How was the service that Swoop provided?
All the professionals I communicated with from Swoop were great. I always got quick and accurate responses and I'm grateful we were able to get a spot on the ship so close to the departure date. I know people on the ship that had booked it two years in advance
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
10 out of 10
You chose a/an Antarctic Peninsula Explorer experience. How was that experience?
I thoroughly enjoyed traveling on the Polar Pioneer. They staff and crew were so helpful and the room itself was basic but met our needs. I was especially impressed with how good the food was and how the chief stewardess accomodated my food preferences. They do need to update the kitchen as the food was usually not hot enough by the time it was served to us
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
These were absolutely amazing. We got to see so many penguins and seals and magnificent glaciers. I felt safe in the zodiacs and all the staff members were so knowledgeable about the wildlife and history of Antarctica
