How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
10 out of 10
You chose a/an Falklands, South Georgia & Antarctic Adventure experience. How was that experience?
This was great, a little tiring because of so many stairs. The only inadequate part was the communication, I still hard of hearing and my wife didn't understand most of the PA announcements. After a few days we stop trying to listen. The conference too were hard to follow because getting a good view of the screen was hard, some accents, speakers behind the audience and not enough supporting text. A intranet messaging system would be a valuable addition for those with hearing difficulties.
If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?
Great organization. We did our own flights and hotel no problems. We were able to upgrade to business which made the trip much easier.
How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?
Excellent jobs but a like advance notice about the terrain (bring a stick out not?) Would have been good!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
This trip involves climbing a LOT of stairs in the boat each day, be prepared !
Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)
I am very hearing impaired and could not hear the PA announcements. A better system of communication (The TV? Text messages via an intranet ?) would make the trip more enjoyable
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
No
Is there anything you would recommend we change to make trips like yours more environmentally sustainable?
Conserve water better, recycle engine heat instead of cooling the engines and heating the water with electricity !!
