I loved having so many opportunities to spend time on the ice with the wildlife. The views, quiet, calm, and amazing wildlife was incredible.

Tell us about the expedition team
They were all wonderful and knowledgable. I think the ship’s operator obviously has very high standards.

Lovely ship. So glad it was smaller. I loved the intimacy and getting to know all the passengers.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
I would definitely say bring binoculars! Makes seeing the penguin nests much easier. Definitely be open to meeting the other passengers as they will become like family. Try to eat with different groups at every meal. Everyone that goes to Antarctica is going to have an interesting story!
Something Else?
I would say that getting off the boat and making sure guests had plans for the day in Ushuaia would have been helpful. We were off the boat by 8:30am and nothing was open and we had nothing to do. The ship’s operator should have offered an excursion opportunity and lunch for ppl waiting around to go to the airport.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes I think a lot more about what I can do to decrease my carbon footprint.
