What our customers think of Ultimate Antarctica: South Georgia & Antarctic Circle

Ultimate Antarctica: South Georgia & Antarctic Circle trips scored 4.8/5 from 6 reviews

The boat and staff were wonderful but their scientific and technical expedition teams were of the highest caliber. Everyone an expert in their field. Everyone was very clear their priorities were exclusively proving the guests the best experience ever.

10/10 - It was a comprehensive Antarctica experience. We got to go places few people do because the Captain of the boat and the Expedition leader were so quick to respond to options that became available and to change plans when the weather changed. The comprehensive tour plan gave the time for these things. I feel like I really got to experience a lot of what Antarctica has to offer versus just getting the taste that a shorter tour would provide.

Of the ten opportunities there were to kayak, I did eight in and around South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. Everyone was great on the water, even those with lesser experience. The guides ensured that we could fulfil our dream of kayaking. The other two opportunities I passed on because I wanted to dedicate full time on the Continental landings.

There were multiple high points: visiting Shackleton's gravesite at Grytviken, South Georgia; kayaking at various points around South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula. I got to meet some really interesting people including passengers, the crew and staff. My twenty-three day trip might be too long for some people but for me it was perfect.

Amazing and surreal. The trip would not have been the same without the myriad of wildlife seen on South Georgia. The landscapes in Antarctica are beyond amazing; they are serene and humbling. It was a pleasant surprise to see four different species of whales, including killer whales.
