Waking up under the sky on a glacier with penguins surrounding our cocoon and glaciers breaking and crashing in the distance. I’m so moved that I’m tearing up as I type this. Confession: I watched Happy Feet on my flight home and cried the full duration of the movie. Nothing bad happened, it was just that my heart is so open because life is so mysterious and beautiful. This excursion moved me in even more ways than Africa and waking up on the Serengeti during the Great Migration has also changed my life.

We particularly enjoyed the adventures (kayaking and camping) that afforded a much closer view of the wildlife and scenery!

Kayaking at glacier graveyard, WHALES, silence moments then hearing glacier calving and avalanched with resultant waves, time to observe the personality of gentoos, the wealth of knowledge/professionalism/and down to Earth staff

So many memorable moments, the excitement of boarding day, all the daily activities(camping, kayaking, mounteering, zodiac rides, polar plunge) the delicious freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea, the surprise warm spiced apple drink on one of the zodiac trips, the sadness I felt when the cruise over. Definitely the best and most memorable holiday we have ever had

During a minutes silence on our zodiac to really take in and appreciate the surroundings an ice berg which we were near we could hear cracks from within and then suddenly a large chunk of the ice berg calved off the side. It was an overwhelming moment that stunned our whole zodiac.

Seeing orcas swimming around our boat, seeing the beautiful landscape, and enjoying the penguins. Polar plunge was very memorable as well. Enjoyed meeting new people on the ship.

There were so many, it’s tough to pick one. Moment of silence on top of Danco island (hearing avalanches, whales and penguins in the distance) sticks out. Close encounter with humpbacks in the zodiac. Camping overnight with the most amazing skyline.

Hiking on the continent and seeing the Penguins, Seals, Whales, Glaciers and Icebergs. Kayaking, Camping. Mountaineering and going out on the Zodiaks were special as well.

Seeing the mountains pop out of the fog for the very first time when we finally made landfall - unbelievable. Also seeing the penguins, seals, orcas, and WHALES - especially the whale tails!

Wow! Where to start? Maybe it was the Orca whales swimming around the boat for 30 minutes? Maybe it was the Humpback whale that breached several times. The leopard seal and that terrifying yawn / grin was impressive. Hundreds and thousands of penguins; they are almost as fun to watch walking as it is to watch them swim! The icebergs are overwhelming in size.
