Life before Swoop
In the fall of 1988 I went to college to prepare myself for a career in the travel industry. After graduation, I treated myself to a cruise and never went back home! I just knew I belonged in Florida, where I could hop on a ship at any given moment and sail to every continent.
I have lived in the Orlando area for well over 40 years now and gained customer experience in the travel industry selling and servicing my clients. My background is in luxury travel products and villas, creating bespoke journeys to Greece, Italy and Hawaii, and I'm now part of the Swoop Polar Customer Experience team. I love people, places and helping my customers experience bucket-list travel destinations like Antarctica.
Why I love travelling
Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, I have a deep appreciation for nature and the beauty of fall and winter. Although I now reside in Orlando, Florida, I still like to experience the changing of all four seasons of nature. Winter is my favourite time of year, and I often travel to destinations all around the world where I can immerse myself in the beauty of nature during these months.
Be it going to Hawaii and reaching the top of the active Haleakalā volcano, travelling to Ireland for a Notre Dame football game in Dublin, or spending time in Tuscany learning to make pasta in a small village, travel is a huge part of my life.
