Life before Swoop
I studied French and Spanish at university, and thanks to that experience, was able to spend time in Paris and Argentina. I also volunteered in India and travelled to countries such as Serbia, Norway, Chile and Aruba.
I've now settled in Patagonia, a place that echoes my hometown's rugged, unspoilt landscapes. Happiness for me is watching the waves ripple across a crystal clear lake, crisp morning walks through the forest and camping with my whole family in the middle of nowhere while looking at a sea of stars.
Why I love travelling
There’s nothing like gazing at the vastness of an untouched, virgin landscape to make you truly in awe at the wonder of our planet. It's a humbling and life-changing experience. For me, travel is all about gaining a new perspective. It’s not necessarily about seeing new places, but a new way of seeing things.
You can learn so much about others, as well as about yourself, when you travel. Some of my most memorable experiences have been while on a trip and they have all taught me the most valuable life lessons.
